As the name suggests Integral/Jointless bridges don’t have the expansion joints in the deck slab. This prevents the corrosion of the roller supports and thus maintenance costs are considerably reduced. Being flexible these are resistive to tectonic movements too and have a greater serviceability time. This fruitful technique has been highlighted to promote its use in developing countries like India. Feasibility of Integral Arch Bridges will also be considered through simulation and practical scale down models. Through various changes in the materials of construction efforts are directed to maximise the length of such bridges which is a major problem. ANSYS software would be used to simulate various conditions of loads and design practices.
